Thought I'd do a random update to let you guys know I've still not forgotten. :)

Can you believe I nearly forgot how to do the LJ cut though? >_>;;  )
2nd-May-2009 12:46 am - Emo Philips.
insane
This is Emo Philips, if you've never heard of him... Weirdest thing I've ever seen in comedy... His act is surreal but the stuff coming out of his mouth is pure brilliance. XD

Saw him on tv the other day, he was a lot older and had short hair but the funny was the same. I knew I had to find out who he was then.

So many things I'm forgetting to write, but a couple that just popped into my head and beg to be mentioned:

- I saw the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. It was magnificent. I found myself wanting to cry for no apparent reason other than that it was so beautiful (and funny). The Rockettes are made of awesome. :)

- And I still can't quite get over having actually gotten to shake hands with former president Bill Clinton! Twice! *_* What happened was we went on a "Gospel" tour of Harlem with this really nice old lady and she took us to the Apollo Theatre to attend a church service (it was Sunday). What we didn't know was that it was the Harlem Halleluja service, the first time any church service has ever been held there, and that senator Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill would be there as special guests! *_* There was a whole section kept empty, which happened to be right in front of us, which meant that when they arrived they walked down the row of seats directly in front of us, and we were in perfect position to shake hands in passing by! *_* Well, Bill's, anyway, Hillary didn't shake hands with anyone. >_> Later, when everyone in the audience was invited to hug their neighbour, our tour guide encouraged me to walk to the front and see if I could hug the president. I mean, when else in your life are you ever going to get a chance like that!? I didn't manage to get any farther than a second handshake though, a more proper handshake this time, and I'm happy with that. XD His hands are soft and warm. *_* It's so unreal.

*prepares to dodge rocks of jealousy* XD

Can't believe it's been 6 months since I last posted. Seems to have gone by so fast! It's crazy. I just spent the past week in New York running from this tourist attraction to that, and having dinner at a restaurant where the waiters sing, and crazy stuff like that. I've been to the statue of Liberty and climbed 156 steps to the top of her pedestal, I've been to the top of the Rockefeller center, though not the Empire State building, and I've seen the Broadway musical Hairspray with some of the original cast. It was hilarious. :)

Maybe I'll post some more later. For now, here is a meme I found: )

And also, this:

25th-Sep-2007 08:06 am - Sanitarium~~
gacktowns
So I just stayed up all night playing this game called Sanitarium. It's an old PC game, from back when they still put them on CDs. XD (It's a 3 CD game.) But it's still good and playable, and the graphics aren't too horribly dated. XD

It's quite creepy, it starts with your guy in one of those nightmare insane asylums, complete with gibbering inmates and the guy banging his head into the wall, leaving a bloodstain... And your guy has no idea who he is or how he got there. After you manage to escape from that, you end up in a strange village where there seem to be no adults, and the kids are strangely disfigured, but don't seem to be too bothered by it. And I do mean freakishly disfigured, I'm talking "boy with two mouths" here.

Unfortunately, the game loses a lot of its creepiness in subsequent levels, but trying to figure out just exactly what is going on (not to mention trying to figure out what is real) still kept me playing to the end.

Heheh, I suppose it's the same reasons why I like Second Sight so much. It's also a game where your main character wakes up in a hospital with no idea who he is or how he got there. And he discovers he has strange psychic powers along the way, and it seems like he can change the past, too! And even though you don't wake up in the insane asylum, you do get to visit it during the course of the game. XD

I want Manhunt 2 now. XD Despite its controversial gruesomeness. XD;

They destroyed my Drug Party DVD...

According to Fedex, their courier couldn't find my address.
After the requited waiting period, they asked Amazon what to do.
It seems like a return procedure was started, it even has a tracking number.
But the (very nice) guy on the phone today told me that after that they received an order to destroy it...

Now I had no idea they couldn't find my address, until a few days ago when I finally realized it was taking them a suspisiously long time to deliver my package and decided to track it down.
It just said the address was wrong, so I emailed them with the correct one.
I finally called them today and, well... I found out what happened.

It made me cry.

Here's the tracking number, if you were interested: 938503155570

I'd like to ask anyone on my friends list who speaks Japanese if they could please help me out in my communication with Amazon Japan in case their English fails them.
26th-Aug-2007 12:40 am - Hmm... Where's my DVD gone?
gacktowns
So... My Drug Party DVD from Amazon Japan should have arrived long ago. Fortunately it has a tracking number so I was able to ascertain that it is being held at a fedex depot following a failed delivery due to a "wrong address". Uhm? I wonder what they put on the box then... I had a coupon from United Airlines arrive just fine even though they mistook the 9 in my zipcode for a 4. Anyway, I think I'll try emailing the company for some info.

...And yeah. I got a coupon from United. $200 for a faulty video screen. XD 'Course, on a long flight, that will derive you of your much-needed entertainment...
